"The great thing about getting older is that
you don't lose all the other ages you've been."
Madelaine L'Engle

In 1981,
Rembrandt came into my life.

He picked me out and stuck to me
like glue when I went to a Paint
breeding farm to find a horse for
my sister. I was not in the market
for a horse, but he was looking
for a person! He was a scrawny
yearling that quickly
blossomed into a handsome colt
with a little love and proper care.

With a wonderful temperament,
Rembrandt was very trainable
and by the age of three, I was hacking
him everywhere. Being a half thoroughbred,
Rudy (his nickname) was very versatile
and did very well in many disciplines.

As a two year old, he was NJ State
Champion Pinto Conformation Hunter.
I showed him in Hunter Shows,
participated in Hunter Paces and
fox hunted him. I had him until he
was ten years old when I sold him to
a woman who treated him like a king.
I moved on to find a new horse
and pursue my interest in dressage.

 I started skiing
at the age of thirty.

I took my progress
very seriously and one
year skied over 40 days,
mostly weekdays in Vermont.

This is a picture
of my sister Denise
and I in Maine.
