This is a close up of the artwork on the violin.

With a few finishing touches and a light coat of acrylic varnish,
this fancy little violin will be ready to go on tour and meet the world!

A picture of my accompanying painting which
I painted to match the violin.

The violin art I have created will be donated to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra
to raise money for their educational programming. I am doing this because I think that
education in all the arts is crucial to the welfare of our society.

It has been a fun and challenging project and it is an honor to have been chosen. I'm hoping this
will be a stepping stone in my career and will expose my work to a much broader audience.
Having to switch mediums for this project from watercolor to acrylics has been a wonderful
learning experience. Thanks to some very knowledgeable artist friends, I was able to find
ways to make my wet-in-wet technique work in acrylics for my "Spirit Art" theme.
I actually like working in acrylics and have several other pieces in the works!
