Monte picked me up at
the airport in Fresno. He didn't recognize me
because the only pictures he'd seen of me were with blonde hair
and then I was a brunette.
The first half hour was a little tense, but by the time he showed
me his studio and we were
on our way to the seminar, I felt like I was back home with an
old friend.
In a short time, I was
to realize the impact that this exceptionally kind, natural,
and well liked teacher was having on a wide variety of artists
at every level.
Monte started off Sunday night with an informal introduction
of himself and this full sheet demonstration painting.
