Owls Head Light

I discovered this spot the first day. Having gotten up at dawn to watch the sun rise over the inlet, I got in hours of exploring before it was time for the workshop to begin. I knew I wanted to paint this lighthouse if I got the opportunity. So that afternoon, I lugged my stuff up the steep road from the parking lot and set up my "plein air studio" on the lawn by the little brick building in the top photo.
