March 8th ~ Spring Fever
| The past couple
of days here have been bright, sunny and warm. It gives me the
motivation I need to get outside and clean up some of winter's
mess. Among the piles of dirty snow and the debris of fallen
branches, I saw the daffodils poking their green crowns up through
the soil today. At that very moment, A blissful feeling come
over me as I felt the fever hit. May the arrival of pleasant
weather energize your body and rejuvenate your spirits too! |

"It's spring fever. That
is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you
want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it
just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!" ~
Mark Twain
"It was one of those March
days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when
it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." ~
Charles Dickens
"Springtime is the land
awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn."
~ Lewis Grizzard

March 1st ~ Hope For The Helpless
| This morning my
mind is on helping hands. I searched online and found a wealth
of "helping hands" organizations and communities designed
to HELP THOSE IN NEED. Easy to use and set up, these communities
are worth checking out if you have a need, such as struggling
with the burden of a loved one's illness. The one I checked
out, would help you set up your own online community to assist
with meals, doctors' visits, legal issues and moral support,
all for free! Isn't the internet just amazing and grand? |

It's getting
down to the wire for Baby Hope! I am so disappointed that her
story is in 2nd place as of this post. Please visit the Helen
Woodward Animal Center website if you haven't done so already
and cast your vote for the best story today! I think Sammie's
story may not be as slick as Kaylie's, but it's important and
it needs to be heard!
Please vote now - the contest ends in
just a few hours - March 1st at noon PST!
http://www.animalcenter.org/events/h4th/essay_contest.aspx
If you can, please open your
hearts and homes to a rescue pet in need.
Today's image is an original watercolor painting of BABY HOPE
which I merged with one of my watercolor backgrounds. It will
be donated to the Burlington County Animal Alliance. See more
information at : Art

February 25th ~ Concentration
| I don't know about
you, but it seems the older I get, the more distractions
there are to unfocus my concentration. Being a computer-holic
doesn't seem to help either. The internet invites me into new
worlds and tempts me with diversions, constantly. It's a good
thing, but like all good things, I think moderation is the key.
This quote on concentration is going to be my mantra for the
day! "I never could have done what I have done without
the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without the
determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time."
~ Charles Dickens |

key that opens the door to accomplishment." ~ Michael Korda

fail because the light that shines through them is defracted
in a thousand directions and not concentrated in a single beam?"

February 22nd ~ Attitude and Little
Things
| I've been posting
quotes on "attitude" the past few days on my Inspiration
Everyday Blog. It affirms a more positive outlook in me when
I read through my collection everyday. Winter has a way of getting
old real fast and that can play havoc with a positive attitude.
When I find myself getting the blues, I switch on thoughts of
my favorite things. Spring must be right around the corner and
I am so looking forward to seeing my little hummingbird friends
who will be returning in just a couple of months. Thoughts of
them always brighten my day. Wishing you many little things that
you can count on to cheer you up too. |

February 18th ~ Birthday Spirit
| I
want to thank you all for the wonderful and heartfelt birthday
wishes I received yesterday! You brought many smiles to my face
and an occasional tear to my eye. Thank you for remembering me
from the bottom of my heart. |

February 15th ~ Your Favorite Things
| I often refer to
my list of "Secret Shifters" to quickly change my mindset.
It is helpful to make your own list of "Favorite Things".
Refer to it, memorize it, refine and add to it often. The idea
is not new, in fact it has been around for a very long time.
My first memorable encounter with this concept dates back to
my childhood when Julie Andrews sang "My
Favorite Things" in "The Sound Of Music". |

February 11th ~ Snow
| We've had a particularly
wet and snowy winter this year here on the East Coast. Although
it is beautiful, it certainly can be inconvenient. A heavy snowfall
equals a lot of work. Our phone, TV and internet cable was out
last night and most of the day. Once it came back, it went out
again. I'm making this post hastily because I don't know how
much time I've got. One thing's for sure, everybody talks about
the weather, but none of us can do a damn thing about it! |

February 8th ~ Fun
| Today I took a
break from my photography and computer work and gave my right
brain some exercise. It is important every now and then to do
something just for the fun of it. I am glad I did. Having fun
is important. I find It can relieve stress and give you
a totally new lease on life. |

doing it." ~ Mary Little

February 4th ~ So Many Injustices
| I'd be even more
neurotic than I already am if I let all the horrific and unjust
current events on our planet really get to me. Emails flood my
inbox daily from numerous human rights, animal rights and citizen's
rights organizations as well as many forwards from friends and
acquaintances about all kinds of maladies and unsettling statistics.
How does one deal with all of this information overload? Any
reasonable ideas will be considered. At the moment I've got my
dander up about the BLM''s
Wild Mustang Roundups and the AIG's
outrageous bonuses. |

February 1st ~ The Amazing Global Market
Place
| I am currently
post processing photos from a shoot I did a couple of weeks ago.
I found a professional imaging lab in Kansas that I am going
to use for my client's prints. In this day and age, if you can
navigate the web, the world is truly your oyster. It excites
me to think about the limitless opportunities that await us on
the iworld - wide horizon. |
